About the Artist

I was born and raised on Guam and have lived in Hawaii since 1967. I am a plein air painter pursuing my art more vigorously these days after having owned and run a business for many years. My background is business but my lifelong interest has been and still is art. I started taking classes at Linekona Art Center with Alan Leitner and James Goodman. Then I joined Florence Ko's plein air painting through the University of Hawaii's Outreach program.

I continued painting over the past 15 years, although in fits and starts. As life's many crises and obstacles encroached and slowed me down, I learned that art gave me balance and that I should not set it aside. I joined the oldest art organization in Hawaii, the Association of Hawaii Artists and became the president in 2006 and 2007. I have had the best time of my life getting to know other artists.

These days, you will find me painting around Oahu. Stop and say hello if you see me!
